Of all the subject matter tackled by the Bacon Studios, the windows depicting the Parable of the Good Samaritan are quite diverse, reflecting a different approach (and perhaps a different painter's hand) for each window. The story in this window in Holy Trinity is spread over the four lights, and is by the Bacon Studio standards rather simple, particularly in the rendering of the architectonic devices above each scene. The small tracery lights are filled with cherubim and simple flower motifs. In the predella scenes from four saints' lives are illustrated. The church stained glass guide identifies these as (left-right) St Martin of Tours, St Silvia, St Margaret of Scotland and St Hubert.1

The window is dedicated to Arthur Kelly Ansell, a churchwarden at Holy Trinity, and local councillor (d. 28th December 1927).

The window is signed, "PERCY BACON, LONDON".
