Stained Glass of Percy Bacon
The Church of the Holy Cross was largely rebuilt by J L Pearson in 1868-70, sweeping away much of the medieval church. It sits next to the baroque mansion built by Daniel Finch, 2nd Earl of Nottingham, an imposing edifice on the hill overlooking the Vale of Catmose. There is just a single window by Percy Bacon in the Church from 1928 which depicts St Anne and Dorcas. The church is now redundant and is in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.
